Professional language mediation at conferences, negotiations and business meetings.
We provide simultaneous, consecutive and liaison interpreting services in 50+ language pairs and as of the end of 2015 we have launched Hungary’s first video remote interpreting service.
You can trust our committed interpreting project managers to help you identify the type of interpretation that is best for you.
Types of interpreting:
1, CONFERENCE INTERPRETING
We have been working with the region’s very best conference interpreters for more than a decade. Nothing gets past our interpreting division: they pay the greatest attention to everything from the selection of interpreters, to the preparation phase, right through to on-site project management. We can provide the full technical background for interpreting projects if necessary. Conference interpreting may take the form of both simultaneous and consecutive interpreting and even remote video interpreting.
2, SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETING
We recommend our simultaneous interpreting services for larger scale conferences and trade events. Our simultaneous interpreters offer real-time interpretation of what has been said, via headphones, to the participants. For small audiences of no more than a few people, the use of costly interpreting technology is unnecessary, as in these cases the interpreter may use the so-called chuchotage method – they simply whisper the translation in the participants’ ears.
We also provide simultaneous interpreting by way of video remote interpreting if the technical conditions are in place. This is an ideal solution if you wish to use foreign interpreters but operate on a limited budget.
3, LONG CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING
This interpreting method is especially popular with EU institutions. Consecutive interpreters use the “long CI” method and interpret segments of 4-6 minutes. The interpreter takes notes during the speech or lecture, and relays what was heard with the highest accuracy possible.
4, CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING (SHORT)
Our short consecutive interpreting service is best suited for business talks, meetings and presentations. The negotiating parties pause after every few sentences or after finishing a train of thought and wait until the interpreter interprets it with the highest accuracy possible.
5, LIAISON INTERPRETING
Our liaison interpreting service is the perfect choice for minor administrative tasks, informal meetings and plant visits. In such cases, we provide interpreters with more modest interpreting experience, who of course are still highly versed in the languages in question, but cannot be expected to have more profound terminology or technical background.
6, VIDEO REMOTE INTERPRETING – NEW!
EDIMART is the first language service provider in Hungary to introduce video remote interpreting services, which are increasingly popular around the world today.
Our video remote interpreting service offers a quick, simple and cost-effective means of communication in situations that require professional interpreting. The only requirement is a computer or mobile device equipped with a good quality camera and a stable internet connection, and we are good to go. You can learn more at our video remote interpreting page!
Video remote interpreting is a useful solution in almost any situation; however, our experienced project managers can help you decide whether on-site or video remote interpreting is the better choice in your specific case.
7, SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETING
Our sign language interpreting service allows seamless communication when participation includes hearing impaired and/or hard-of-hearing persons. Such interpreting typically follows the simultaneous interpreting method, in other words the interpreter signs what is heard in real-time, while listening to the speaker.
Our sign language interpreting services are also available in foreign languages and via remote video interpreting. Ask for details from our interpreting division.

Upon request we provide a full range of interpreting technology including the Bosch Integrus interpreting technology (in 32 languages), professional audio-visual equipment, vote casting technology, shipment, installation and on-site technical supervision.
